We are here to help you
We’re here to help you with your livestock
The Rupununi Livestock Producers Association's primary goal is to improve the quality of life for all residents of the Rupununi. Specifically, supporting the livelihoods of local farmers, with an emphasis on food security, as well as effectively managing our cattle in the region. By providing training, resources, and market access to farmers, the association aims to increase productivity and profitability in the livestock industry, while working towards sustainable land management practices to ensure long-term success for both farmers and the environment.

Our Board of Directors
Rebecca Faria
Chairperson
Rebecca Faria was elected Vice Chairman of the board for 2024, she is the outgoing Chairman for the Rupununi Livestock Producers Association (RLPA) marking a milestone as the first woman elected to the position in the year 2019.
She first joined the RLPA in 2001, then was elected the first woman for RLPA Rodeo Committee Chairman in 2016 and has volunteered with the RLPA through the years. Rebecca is very passionate about working with livestock farmers in the communities as well as private livestock owners. Inspired by her father, Mr. Denis Rodrigues, who enjoy rearing livestock at Point Ranch. Mr. Rodrigues was an executive member of RLPA and also the founder of the Rupununi Ranchers Rodeo in Lethem.
RLPA came a long way in achieving some of its objectives, having an RLPA Hub which provides products & services to all livestock farmers while promoting & educating farmers on how important it is to grow local and eat local produce. Rebecca enjoys the simple things in life, nature and animals. She enjoys working with her team of “Iron women” not forgetting the few males onboard. “Spreading the love of Agriculture & Positive vibes!
